Yesterday marked the first time in over three months that I had set foot in central London following the lessening of the lockdown restrictions.

It has been weird times has it not? If you cast your minds back to six-seven months ago, the idea of a lockdown seemed crazy! 2020 was meant to be THE best year ever…
We fast forward to June 2020 and we are in the midst of a lockdown (or coming out of one - depending on your stance!). I have been quite busy as of recent from a design arc, so have not spent as much time behind my Nikon lenses.
I have also been emotionally caught up in the news around Black Lives Matter; something which as a black man resonates really closely with me. Equality, not superiority on this front, is the goal. I ended up taking a very short break from socials as it has been a lot - especially when reading the negative comments in comments sections across social media…
This brings me to now - sat here on the dining table having returned from a serene walk to Stratford with my girlfriend having got behind my camera again. The walk allowed me to have a disconnect from the madness going on right now and restore my mind to one of calmness! Photo-editing helps, and is also one of my fave hobbies. That is what I sit doing now whilst writing this blog! I did not miss the chance of capturing some self-portraits in the process (that’ll be saved for my Insta)! If you know me well, then you will know the latter is not surprising!
I miss the normal, but at the same time, I am not uncomfortable with a new normal…in fact, I am trying to embrace it! Perhaps 2020 is the year of pivoting…
Thanks for reading, and do not forget… we are in this together!

Via Hoxton Streets - Part 1
It has been a busy Tuesday - one straight after the Bank Holiday (which incidentally I had no time to “chill” on) - and I am sitting in Costa Coffee photo-editing, but realising I need to share with you these awesome shots I captured of friend, musician, and creative associate Jumee recently in Hoxton!
Someone walked past and joked: “who do you think you are…David Bailey??” as I crouched really low to capture this shot at the angle I have. I simply grinned and said, “maybe”. I want to be the best I can be in my fields of interest [graphic design and photography] and will do whatever it takes…
The feel I was looking for in these shots was very much ‘urban’ and that ‘I run the fashion on these blocks’ type of feel - interpret that as you may! I feel I have achieved it, but would love to know your thoughts!
I will be sure to drop more across my photography Instagram very soon; and a few on here of Aaron Anderson which I captured this very same day!
I always really enjoy working with these guys!
Happy Tuesday all :)

My Barcelona Walkway
I was in Barcelona last week and had the best of times. Below is one of my favourite shots from the trip...
Soon, I will put together a slightly more expansive blog post which documents some of my best architectural imagery from the amazing adventure.
For now, do follow my photography Instagram @r_ikoroha_photography where I regularly roll out Barcelona imagery!
Many thanks.

Isatu in Camberwell at 50mm
The shot I captured above using my Nikon prime lens (50mm) has to be one of my favourites of this year already!
Why? Because this look was captured by chance :)
Season 9 - Jack Clarke
Photographing Jack Clarke at 18mm-55mm on the beautiful streets of Notting Hill. Class guy to work with as always. Shots below...
A pleasure as always to shoot in Notting Hill.

Taken By Chelsea
For many years now I have wanted to get some shots of both Chelsea Bridge and Albert Bridge at night!
As you may or may not know, I have been a huge fan of scripted-reality tv series Made In Chelsea since its inception in 2011 and both the Chelsea and Albert Bridges feature heavily. As a photographer and fairly big Chelsea enthusiast; I visited here last in February 2014 for some Chelsea Embankment photography. You can see this by clicking here.
I was after a great night capture and I think I have several now as you can see below.
Architecturally and aesthetically, the Albert Bridge is my preferred bridge...
I welcome your thoughts guys on the shots :)
