Breaking Normal

Yesterday marked the first time in over three months that I had set foot in central London following the lessening of the lockdown restrictions. My girlfriend had an appointment in the area so this was an excuse to travel in – but not by tube (still not brave enough to use that yet).

Walking around, you got a sense that things are beginning to return to normal, but in a different way. Face-masks naturally will be a norm for quite some time, as will social-distancing and other restrictions having been imposed at an individual or business’ discretion. The pubs reopened yesterday – I did not go. The reopening of these did bring an added atmosphere to the catchment in the evening time (as I noticed via social media). Please be safe if you are currently frequenting pubs again…!

I got the chance to wonder around a few spots and take some snaps, even if the weather was not really on my side. I never thought I would dislike overcast weather so much! Today as I type this, the sun is playing ‘tag’ with the clouds…typical…good weather when you are indoors!

Please see below some of my captures, my favourites being those which I have added a bit of warmth too and a shot showcasing a bit of street style in London!
